April 14-17, 2010 at the Palace of Sports, Moscow State University of Instrument Engineering and Informatics (MGUPI) hosted the International Forum «Роботы-2010»
During the Forum demonstrated achievements in robotics, mechatronics, instrumentation based on information technology and artificial intelligence.
A busy program of the Forum, in addition to the exhibition and exposition of the latest developments of youth research teams included:
- Competitions mobile mini robots in three types of competitions: mini-sumo kegelringe and slalom
- Russian qualifying round of the international youth competitions in robotics «EUROBOT»
- Demo Session of All-Russian scientific and technical youth festival named after Prof. E.A. Devyanina «Мобильные роботы»
- Scientific and technical school conference on robotics
It was organized by the Moscow State University of Instrument Engineering and Computer Science, Moscow State Technical University, Moscow State University Information and Analytical Center of Moscow Department of Education.
The Forum and the press conference was attended by: N.N. Evtikhiev - prefect of the Eastern administrative district of Moscow, V.G. Bondur - Academician, Professor, General Director of the Scientific Center of Aerospace Monitoring «Аэрокосмос», E.N. Sobolev - Director of «Rosnano», M.A. Salmin - the representative of the International Association of Eurobot in Russia B.V. Morukov - cosmonaut, an employee of the State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation - Institute of Biomedical Problems, Russian Academy of Sciences (SRC RF-IBMP of RAS).
Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Forum «Роботы-2010» - MGUPI Rector, Prof. Igor Golubyatnikov, opened the Forum, Welcoming the participants, stressed that such events are important to attract young people to the scientific and technical work at the moment, when the government began to pay special attention to engineering specialties.
Winners were identified in the qualifying stage of the competition «EUROBOT» in the category «Junior», «Starter» and «Professional». Winners in the category «Professional» - students of Moscow State University and Moscow Higher Technical School - will go to the European tournament in Switzerland.
In the competition of mobile mini robots slalom winners were the team of secondary school №2017, kegelring - students of Lyceum of Informational Technologies №1537, physical and mathematical lyceum №131. The winners of the competitions in the mini-sumo in the category up to 15 years was Leonid Sokol - a representative of Computer Camp, and in the absolute category - Mikhail Glotov, imobot.
